Phoenix Saab Croydon have written to me again about my service problems

In essence, Phoenix Saab Croydon are trying to wash their hands of this and pass the buck to Saab UK.

Phoenix Saab Croydon seem to be refusing to acknowledge that they have messed me around - quite amazing!

Introduction

In Feb 08 I bought a Saab 93. In April, I put it in for a scheduled service and was told that the timing chain needed replacing and the car was unsafe until this was done.

The car was under warranty, so I asked Phoenix Saab Croydon to contact the warranty company and get it sorted. After almost two weeks, they told me I had to drive the car "for a couple of weeks" and then bring it back for further diagnostics - after previously telling me it was unsafe to drive. Not knowing how many miles "a couple of weeks" means, I have driven it for 1500 miles and last week I tried to arrange to take it back to the garage, but got messed around.

As a result of further investigations, I have discovered that the version of events from the warranty company directly contradicts Phoenix's version of events!

So, either the engineer from the warranty company is lying, or Phoenix have been lying and I have been driving my family around in an unsafe car.
